Wow. I can’t believe I finally took the step to start a blog. It’s basic, it’s real, it may come off as nothing special to anyone else but myself…and that’s ok, because I did it.
I don’t want to put out any false pretenses about myself…I am a stay at home mom with a wonderful 1 year old and a second on the way. Becoming a mother was not a smooth transition for me (and still isn’t to be honest), and having a second one is as terrifying as it is exciting! However, over the past year I’ve battled post partum depression, body image issues, pregnancy, job loss, self identity crisis, and so much more that has driven me to this point in time that I finally feel peace with the reality that this is, and will most likely always be, the most rewarding and humbling journey one can ever take. I want to share with you all of these ups and downs because there is no textbook way to “be a mom”. Some of it will be more relatable then others but my goal is to provide myself this release of writing and creativity while being able to share with you that one line that may be just what you need to pick your head up and keep going.
With all of that said! I am 26 years old, I have a degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety and previously worked as a Safety Manager for a metal recycling facility until my son was born. I am not married, but engaged rather, to a handsome southern gentlemen who is the father of my children. I am originally from PA but have lived in GA for 3 years now building this crazy life. I have a serious problem with starting way too many things a one time, but I was finally able to focus enough to open an Etsy shop called Keystone Peach Decor where I sell pillows and other home decor accents. I have always found creating to be enjoyable but recently it has become an essential therapeutic element in my life. I will definitely be sharing some DIY fun for kids AND adults!
Finally, my most recent breakdown took me on a journey of self healing and love through the art of yoga and spiritual meditation. It’s all VERY new to me still but now I can’t imagine how I ever managed without it!!
I love hearing other people’s stories and being able to chat similarities, differences, and suggestions to further improve myself and how I affect those around me. Feel free to contact me anytime with anything!!
